Growing up in the church as a child, but not a teen has led questioning my faith in adulthood everyday.
“just have faith”
Such an easy thing to say when you are in a cult as my dad would say.
Such an easy thing to say coming from my mother that works in the church.
Why do I struggle so much to believe that God is real? Hell I even feel guilty saying that.
Is that the faith?
I do believe and I do pray to him occasionally, but when I start really thinking about everything… so many questions that I don’t even know how to ask arise.
There are many planets in the galaxy is what we are told and Earth is the only planet with life on it as far as we know.
We haven’t even traveled to all of the planets in this ONE galaxy. The ones that we have supposedly explored, only a few are habitable..
to humans.
So we have no idea if there are other beings out there and if there are.. do they even know who god is? Do they think if they sin and don’t ask for forgiveness constantly that they will go to hell?
The questions are starting and I’m not gonna completely dive into that today.
But do you see what i am trying to get at?
I think that believing in God is something that just makes us feel better about dying. Although, I do like the idea of going to this heavenly place after death. Why not believe?
I think that there is a higher power, but what if its not “God”. What if it’s like a orb of literally nothing or water or air or fire or; you get what I’m saying.
Manifestation in the church is seen as evil, but essentially its just another form of prayer without ending in “amen”.
I have done both and to be completely honest.. I think they are the same and work the same. My feelings towards it all is to just always express your gratitude and you shall always receive what you are asking for.
Now I do still believe in God.. I just don’t think it is what the church is making it out to be.
and that’s okay.. regardless of what the community arounds me feels about the whole topic of God.
We are all entitled to our own opinions and that’s what makes everyone of us cool humans.
